Actiniopteris australis, commonly known as the Eyelash fern. This small tropical version of a palm tree produces gorgeous lime green to dark green palm-like leaves, which resemble a bunch of eyelashes! They grow best in terrariums but also in high humidity places like the bathroom. They are slow growing.

Bright, filtered sunlight.
Enjoys slightly moist soil but will not tolerate overwatering, so allow the top layer to start drying before attempting to water again.
Between 17°C and 23°C is ideal for this plant.
This plant enjoys high humidity.
It is toxic to cats and dogs but not humans. The toxic compounds in the fern are called Filix elements which can cause vomiting and diarrhoea in pets, if ingested. Feed the Eyelash fern monthly only during Spring and Summer.
