Anthurium andreanum ‘Madural’

Anthurium andreanum ‘Madural’ is commonly known as the flamingo flower and belongs to the Araceae family.  Native to tropical regions of Central and South America. One of the most distinctive features is its vibrant, showy red spathes that are brightly coloured. The leaves are leathery and deep green in colour. Anthurium andreanum are very low maintenance, easy to grow and have excellent air-purifying qualities.

Plant care

Pot size: 14cm - Height (including pot):55cm approx.

This indoor plant likes bright indirect sunlight.

From March to September keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. From October to February water when the soil's tip 1-2 inches feels dry.

The optimal temperature is between 10°C - 29°C. Avoid placing this plant near heating and keep out of draughts.

60% humidity levels are ideal for this plant. It would benefit from regular misting.

Toxic to pets and humans if digested and will cause mouth and skin irritation and stomach pain. Feed monthly in Spring and Summer when this plant is actively growing.
