Anthurium vittarifolium

Anthurium vittarifolium is a striking and elegant aroid known for its exceptionally long, strap-like leaves that can reach over a metre in length when matured.  The foliage is smooth, narrow, and softly textured.

Originating from the humid forests of the Amazon basin, Anthurium vittarifolium grows attached to trees in nature, allowing its long leaves to hang downward and catch filtered light.

Plant care

6cm pot - Height (including pot): 10cm

Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. Good drainage is essential to avoid root rot.

Prefers warm, stable conditions: 18–26°C.

Thrives in high humidity (60–80%). Ideal for bathrooms, greenhouses, terrariums, or near a humidifier. Dry air may cause browning tips or reduced leaf length.

Feed every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer.
