Common Names: Norfolk Island pine, star pine, triangle tree
The Araucaria heterophylla is an evergreen conifer that is native to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific Ocean. These trees have a very unique, symmetrical appearance with horizontal branching tiers of lush green foliage. The branches hold deep green leaves that are stiff and pointy, spaced evenly apart along each branch. The leaves overlap neatly in pairs, which gives the foliage a star-like pattern and appearance.
With the right care, these plants aren’t hard to look after.
