Asparagus plumosus

This is a climbing plant, and one of the easiest houseplants to grow for beginners.  It has very thin stems and lush green feathery foliage.  Although the plumosus looks a lot like a fern it is not classified as a true fern.  Its scientific name is Asparagus setaceus.

Plant care

Pot size: 11cm - Height (including pot): 14cm approx..

This plant does not require a lot of sunlight and will thrive in bright indirect light.

Water regularly in the growing season (spring to mid-autumn) and more sparingly in winter, but do not let the soil dry out completely. Mist the leaves with water on a regular basis.

Maintain temperatures above 10°C in winter and avoid summer temperatures above 25°C.

They will love humidity levels above 70%.

Feed with a weak liquid fertilizer every two weeks throughout the active growing period. Contact with skin may cause a rash or allergic reaction.
