This fast-growing, soft stemmed vine has beautiful red violet stems and glossy green leaves. White or pink flowers are produced in short spikes in the leaf axils. It is also known as Malabar spinach, but it is not actually a spinach. It is native to Southeast Asia.
Plant care
Pot size: 9cm - H (including pot): 22cm approx.
This plant grows well in full sun.
Moisture-loving, so keep the soil moist but do not let water accumulate.
This plant loves a warm location and growth will slow if temperatures fall below 15°C.
It grows and develops well with high humidity.
Use fertiliser once every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (March to October).
