Biophytum sensitivum is also known as Little Tree Plant because it looks like a small palm tree. The leaves fold downwards with their branches moving slightly upwards at night. The leaves also close if they are touched. Its unique appearance will look spectacular in any terrarium!

Bright, indirect light. Grows well in low light. Keep out of direct sunlight to protect the delicate leaves.
Likes a moist soil.
Ideal temperatures are between 15°C to 26°C.
This little plant thrives in humidity and around 60% - 90% is best to keep this plant happy.
Biophytum sensitivum has cream, yellow or pink colour flowers that will come intermittently throughout the year. It is an annual plant, and in the wild they would not last longer than a year but in a terrarium, they can last longer especially if you remove the flowers early when you see them. The plant is most likely to die suddenly just after releasing their seeds. It is possible to harvest the seeds and germinate them.
