This gorgeous tropical houseplant features pink stripes on large green leaves, and it is also known as Calathea Pinstripe or Pinstripe Plant. Although, Calatheas have a reputation of being fussy, the Pinstripe plant is one of the easier varieties to care for. This plant will let you know it’s not happy with warning signs, which include brown and crispy leaves, leaves that start to turn yellow or pink stipes fading to a white.
Pot size: 18cm - Height (including pot): 60cm approx.
Bright indirect light is required for this plant to thrive, too much light will scorch the foliage.
The soil should be kept moist but never waterlogged, during the growing season. Allow the top layer of soil to dry between watering in winter.
18°C - 24°C is best and 15.5°C is the minimum this plant can tolerate.
This Calathea needs high humidity to thrive so moist the foliage regularly, place on a wet pebble tray or situate in a bathroom. Keep away from radiators.
Considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. Feed regularly during the growing season (April to October), heavily reduce or stop feeding throughout winter.
