Hard to find.

Carludovica sp. refers to species in a small tropical genus often mistaken for palms, though they’re actually relatives of cyclanths. The most familiar member is the plant used to make Panama hats.

Leaves emerge tightly rolled and unfurl dramatically, giving the plant a lush, sculptural presence.

Plant care

Pot size: 13cm - Height (including pot) 30cm approx.

Bright indirect light is ideal.

Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy Allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings.

Ideal range: 18–29°C.

Prefers moderate to high humidity.

Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring/summer. Wipe leaves gently to remove dust.
