Dieffenbachia is commonly known as Dumbcane and they belong to the Araceae family. Dieffenbachia ‘Crocodile’ is most admired for its striking leaves. The leaves are large, elongated and features a prominent variegation pattern that resembles the texture of a crocodile’s skin. The variegation consists of irregular, pale green to yellow-green patches or streaks that run along the length of the leaf, creating a visually captivating contrast against the darker green. The variegation may vary slightly from leaf to leaf, enhancing the plant’s unique and appealing appearance. It is an easy plant to take care of.

Plant care

14cm pot size - Height (including pot): 45cm approx.

To ensure optimal growth and vibrant foliage, the Dieffenbachia 'Crocodile' plant prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves and lead to leaf discoloration.

The soil needs to remain slightly damp consistently, but not overly saturated. Water the plant when the upper layer of soil shows signs of drying.

This plant prefers temperatures above 15°C. Avoid cold draughts.

The Dieffenbachia does fine in average household humidity.

Dieffenbachia are considered to be toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Feed once a month during growing season (spring and summer).
