Hoya erythrina is a unique and rare vining Hoya species admired for its colourful foliage and clustered star-shaped blooms. It is native to the Philippines and part of the Apocynaceae family. The leaves of Hoya erythrina are oval-shaped with pointed tips. They grow in pairs along trailing stems. Leaves emerge pink-red before maturing to olive green with red edges. The flowers are white with maroon centers. They are subtly fragrant with a honey-like scent.

Plant care

6cm pot - Height (including pot): 15cm approx.

Bright, indirect light.

Sensitive to overwatering, allow it to dry between waterings. More water will be needed in the growing months.

Normal household temperatures are fine for this plant.

Hoya erythrina grow best with the humidity level of 50% - 60%. Gently mist it once a week and it's best to mist your plant in the morning so the water has plenty of time to evaporate before evening.

Considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. Feed monthly in the growing season (spring and summer).
