Macodes petola is a species of Jewel Orchid and is also commonly known as the Lightening Bolt Jewel Orchid. Jewel Orchid is a general name to describe the type of Orchids with patterned leaves.
This exotic plant has velvety leaves and sparkly veins that came alive in the light! This little gem would thrive in a terrarium.
Plant care
Pot size: 5cm - Height (including pot): 11cm approx.
Bright, indirect light.
Use tepid water when the top soil is dry. Do not let this plant sit in water as this can cause root rot.
Keep temperatures above 15°C.
Keep humidity levels above 85%.
There are two ways to water this plant, you can water from the top down or water from the bottom up. If you are watering from the bottom up, then place your potted plant on a a tray of water and allow the water to climb up the Jewel's roots.
