Paphiopedilum ‘Pinocchio’

£26.00

Paphiopedilum ‘Pinocchio’ commonly known as Lady’s Slipper orchids, are known for their distinctive slipper-shaped pouch, which is actually a modified lip petal. The flowers often have a combination of colours and intricate patterns. They have attractive, leathery glossy leaves that arise from the base of the plant.

The flower can remain on the plant for around six to ten weeks and their blooming season is generally from mid-autumn to spring. Many of the hybrids bloom around twice a year.

We use 100% recyclable packaging, using FSC Certified cardboard boxes but if you are happy to have your order packaged in pre-used packaging, please tick this box.

Plant care

Pot size: 12cm - Height (including pot): 35cm approx.

Bright and indirect sunlight.

Water with tepid water and allow the water to flow out through the drainage holes to flush the soil. Best to water this plant in the morning as this will allow the water to evaporate throughout the day which will help prevent root rot. Do not allow the soil to dry out but make sure no water is left at the bottom. You will want to water more frequently during the warmer months and less frequently in the cooler months.

Normal UK room temperatures between 12°C - 25°C is fine for this plant.

Orchid’s love humidity and dislike dry air so keep away from radiators. To increase humidity, place the plant on top of a tray of pebbles.

Non-toxic to cats and dogs. Feed once a month. Once all the flowers have fallen off, we advise to cut the plant to 10-12cm above the pot and with a bit of patience the plant will come back again.
