Plant care

Pot size: 14cm - Height (including pot): between 35 and 50cm.

In nature, this plant grows under the forest canopy and so does not enjoy direct sunlight. Indirect light is ideal.

Water when the first two inches of soil dry out. It is important to feel the soil to get a sense of how dry it is rather than to stick to a rigid watering schedule. Allow water to drain through completely when watering so that the soil is saturated but the roots are not left sitting in water.

Philodendron verrucosum is suited to warmer UK homes and enjoys temperatures ranging between 16°C-20°C.

70% or above (most homes have humidity of around 30%). You can increase the humidity around your Philodendron verrucosum by placing it on a water-filled pebble tray or misting it regularly. Likes humidity and a warmer temperature – did we mention it was fussy?!

Fertilise weekly during the growing season (March-Oct) for optimum growth. Please note that this plant is toxic when ingested, so might not be suitable if you have young children or pets.
