It belongs to the vast family of Araceae, and this variety originates from South America. The hallmark of the Philodendron billietiae is its stunning, elongated, and deeply lobed leaves. The leaves are typically a glossy, deep green colour and exhibit prominent venation that adds to their beauty, making them stand out among other Philodendron varieties. This plant is a relatively slow grower, forming a dense and compact growth habit. It typically maintains an upright growth pattern and easy to look after.

Plant care

Pot size 12cm - Height (including pot): 45cm approx.

It thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can lead to leaf scorch. A location near a north or east-facing window with filtered sunlight is generally ideal.

Average water needs. Allow the top inch or so of the soil to dry out before watering again

Maintain a warm and tropical environment for your Philodendron billietiae, with temperatures ranging from 18-27°C. Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 10°C.

This plant appreciates higher humidity levels. You can increase humidity by misting the plant regularly, using a humidity tray, or placing a humidifier nearby.

Toxic to cats and dogs when ingested. Feed your Philodendron billietiae with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (typically spring and summer) every 4-6 week
