Philodendron ‘Prince of Orange’

This gorgeous rare tropical variety of Philodendron is famous for its remarkable leaves, which change colour as they mature from yellow to orange to dark green. The ‘Prince of Orange’ grows its vibrant leaves from its centre rather than from its vines and stems.

Plant care

Pot size: D16cm x H (including pot): 47cm approx.

This Philodendron enjoys bright, indirect light. Keep away from direct sunlight.

Keep soil evenly moist but do not allow the soil to become soggy.

Thrives in temperatures above 12°C, so keep out of cold draughts especially during the winter months.

Basic household humidity is fine for this plant, but higher humidity encourages larger leaves so occasional misting will be beneficial.

Wash leaves frequently to prevent dust from clogging its pores. Rotate the plant every week as the ‘Prince of Orange’ loves to lean towards the light, this will help it stay full on all sides. The leaves are toxic to pets and humans. Feed once a month during spring and summer.
