Spathiphyllum is also commonly known as a Peace Lily and has pure-looking white flowers and shiny dark green foliage.  This elegant plant is one of the most popular plants to grow indoors and is super easy to look after.  It is also a valuable plant as it is an efficient air purifier. Its leaves absorb toxins, mould spores, and radiation from the atmosphere, making it an ideal plant for the bedroom. The flowers produce very little pollen, so they do not aggravate allergies.   The majority of Peace Lily species are native to South America.

Plant care

Pot size: 13cm - Height (including pot): 50cm approx.

Position in a bright area with indirect light. This plant can tolerate lower light conditions, nevertheless, if the plant does not bloom it could be not getting enough light!

This plant likes a regular watering schedule and for the soil to be slightly moist but well-drained. Water if the top few inches seem dry. Do not keep this plant waterlogged.

Average UK household temperatures are fine for this plant, and they can tolerate temperatures as low as 12°C in Winter.

The Peace Lily will enjoy increased levels of humidity.

Mildly toxic if eaten, best to keep away from children and pets. Feed once a month during the growing season. Deadhead (or remove) withered flowers after flowering.
