Tamarindus indica

Tamarindus indica, commonly known as Tamarind is traditionally a large tropical fruit tree turned ornamental bonsai or statement houseplant. Its look is airy with feathery green leaves on arching stems give it a soft, elegant touch. The leaves fold up at night or during periods of low light.

The Tamarind makes an interesting and unique houseplant choice for those who appreciate its delicate, fern-like foliage and graceful form.

Plant care

Pot size: 12cm - Height (including pot): 30cm approx.

Full sun, partial sun.

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry.

Thrives in warm, bright rooms (18–29°C).

Loves humidity but tolerates average indoor air.

Rotate the pot to avoid one-sided growth. If it gets leggy or pale, it’s craving more light.
