Xanthosoma lindenii

This South American native is famous for its large arrow-shaped leaves shot with white veins. Commonly known as the Angel Wing Plant it can grow up to 4ft tall!  Rarely seen this striking plant is a must for any collector.

Plant care

Pot size: 12cm - Height (including pot): 48cm approx.

Avoid full sun – this plant likes bright, indirect light. If it does not get enough its stems will grow longer to search for it.

Keep the soil moist but avoid over-watering. Allow water to drain through completely when watering so that the roots don’t rot. Water thoroughly when the first inch of soil becomes dry.

Xanthosoma lindenii likes to live in warmer conditions of 21°C or higher.

As high as possible. You can increase the humidity around your Xanthosoma lindenii by placing it on a water-filled pebble tray, misting it regularly or keeping it in the bathroom.

Fertilise weekly during the growing season (March-Oct) for optimum growth. Please note that this plant is toxic when ingested, so might not be suitable if you have young children or pets.
