Description
Xerosicyos danguyi is a unique and striking succulent vine with distinctive coin-shaped leaves, resembling silver dollars, hence it is commonly known as the Silver Dollar vine. The leaves are flat, round, and often have a silvery-blue or greyish-green hue. The leaves can store water, allowing the plant to withstand periods of drought. It has a trailing or climbing growth habit, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or as a cascading plant in containers. The stems are thin and can develop a woody appearance as the plant matures. It belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family, and native in Madagasca.
